Vossloh Rail Vehicles has one of the finest Engineering and Development Centers in Spain specializing in rail transport technology. Its aim is to become the leading developer of rolling stock in Spain and in other selected markets by contributing to Vossloh AG's foremost position through a quality-driven strategy. This strategy aims at offering innovative and competitive products in line with the technical, social and environmental expectations and demands of the 21st century.

Imagination, innovation, insight: cutting-edge vision coupled with analytic precision gives rise to new ideas and vehicle concepts whose cost-efficiency and flexibility set standards. In order to proactively promote this process, we have set up a totally new organization model based on research and engineering.

The Research Center is busy designing the sort of products required for the 21st century and, in doing so, emphasizes respect for the environment and responsibility to society.

Vossloh Rail Vehicles employs more than 80 researchers, engineers and technicians who have at their disposal the most advanced IT equipment with applications that cover all aspects of computer-assisted design, engineering and manufacturing, FEM computations and dynamic simulations as well as testing, vibration- and noise-monitoring software.

Vossloh Rail Vehicles is well aware that R&D work can no longer be the fruit of individual efforts and this is why it has signed collaboration agreements with universities and research institutes, with the aim of preparing new designs and solutions based on the latest technologies as well as improving the day-to-day properties of existing products.

Sustainable development, among the benchmarks of modern society, is an integral component of the corporate culture prevailing at Vossloh Rail Vehicles.
